A flagship phone that you can use without a case

Every year, tech companies announce brand new smartphones with a delicate hardware design. The phones are beautifully crafted with premium materials like glass and metal. However, it has become obvious nowadays that the companies often choose forms over function. Using premium materials like glass comes at the cost of fragility.

The glass that’s attached on the front and the back of the device is prone to scratches and cracks because it’s the first thing to hit the ground when dropped. Even the camera lens on the back cracks with a single accidental drop because of the large protrusion. There are rugged phones in the market that has solved these issues with a bulky design but it’s not the best solution for the device that lives in a small pocket.

At the end of the day, we buy a case and a screen protector to protect our expensive investment.

To solve this problem, I designed a phone that is both elegant and protective. I wanted to let users enjoy the pure hardware of the device with confidence that it’s able to withstand accidental drops.

The name of the device is ‘The Mantra phone’ because the mantra of this phone is ‘to bring peace in mind by providing a proper protection’
